There are over 50 KUTO youth volunteers representing high schools from all over St. Louis. Visitation, Priory, McCluer Senior High, Parkway West, RosatiKain, North County Christian, St. Louis University High, and John Burroughs are many of the schools KUTO volunteers attend.

KUTO volunteers develop their helping skills by completing a clinically designed, staff supervised training course specific to each KUTO program. Coursework includes: values clarification, emphathy building, active listening, communication techniques, crisis intervension, and suicide prevention.
